Ludik Évasion Quest Registration Terms

Version 1.1 - effective as of December 2, 2026.

Reference language notice: This English translation is provided for convenience only. In case of discrepancy, inconsistency, or interpretation difference, the French version shall prevail.

These general registration terms (the "Registration Terms") govern the sale of team Registrations to Quests by the Seller to the Buyer through the Ludik Évasion platform, available on the web at https://ludik-evasion-preview.lezo.app and through the mobile applications published under the Ludik Évasion brand (the "Platform").

The Platform is operated by Ludik Evasion, a SAS, registered under RCS du Puy-en-Velay sous le numéro 933 100 042, with its registered office at 751 route de Recours, 43800 Beaulieu, France (the "Publisher"). Except where it operates the Quest itself, the Publisher is not the Seller of Registrations and is not a party to the Registration contract.

1. Definitions

The capitalized terms below have the following meaning:

"Buyer" means the person who orders and pays for a Registration for a Team.

"Consumer" means any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, liberal profession or agricultural activity.

"Team" means the group of Participants registered for a Quest under a Registration.

"Registration" means the paid admission of a Team to a Quest, sold by the Seller through the Platform.

"Registration Page" means the Platform page on which the Quest is presented and the Registration is ordered.

"Participant" means any person who is a member of a Team.

"Quest" means the treasure hunt or interactive trail organized by the Seller, which takes place on site and is played using the Ludik Évasion application.

"Seller" means the professional organization that operates the Quest and sells the Registration, identified on the Registration Page. It is the operating organization holding a license from the Publisher or, where the Publisher operates the Quest itself, the Publisher.

2. Scope

2.1 These Registration Terms apply by default to every Registration sold through the Platform.

2.2 Where the Seller presents its own general terms of sale on the Registration Page before payment, those terms apply to the Registration instead of these Registration Terms.

2.3 Specific conditions stated by the Seller on the Registration Page, in particular its cancellation policy, age requirements, meeting point and required equipment, supplement these Registration Terms and prevail in the event of conflict, within the limits of applicable mandatory provisions.

2.4 The Buyer declares that they are of legal age and have the legal capacity to contract. They act for themselves and on behalf of the Participants of their Team, whom they inform of these Registration Terms and of the Seller's specific conditions.

2.5 The provisions of these Registration Terms that refer to the Consumer also apply to non-professionals where the law so provides.

2.6 These Registration Terms are available at any time on the Platform and may be saved or printed by the Buyer. Before ordering, the Buyer accepts the applicable terms of sale by ticking the acceptance box on the Registration Page; the Platform records this acceptance together with the version of the terms accepted and its date.

3. Seller identification and pre-contractual information

3.1 The Seller is identified on the Registration Page, which states that the Platform is not the seller. Before payment, it provides its name, legal form, registration number where applicable to its legal status, geographical address, telephone number and email address, as well as the name and website of the consumer mediator that actually covers its sales. No paid Registration can be ordered until the applicable information has been declared. It is repeated in the Registration confirmation.

3.2 Before the order, the Seller provides the Buyer, in a legible and understandable manner, with the information required by Articles L.111-1 and L.221-5 of the French Consumer Code, in particular:

  • the essential characteristics of the Quest, in particular its location, its indicative duration and the number of Participants per Team
  • the session date or opening period of the Quest, or the absence of a set date
  • the total price of the Registration, including all taxes
  • the payment and performance terms
  • the existence or absence of a right of withdrawal and, where applicable, its conditions, time limit and procedure
  • the applicable cancellation and refund policy

3.3 The Seller is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information it publishes on the Registration Page.

4. Role of the Platform

4.1 The Publisher provides the Seller with the technical tools to present the Quest, record Registrations, collect their price through the payment service provider Stripe and let Teams play using the Ludik Évasion application. Where the Quest is operated by another organization, the Publisher does not organize the Quest, does not set its price and is not a party to the Registration contract. The software solution on which the Platform is built is provided to the Publisher by LEZO, which is not a party to the Registration contract.

4.2 In accordance with Article L.111-7 of the French Consumer Code, the Publisher informs the Buyer that the Seller is an organization acting as a professional and that the rights granted to Consumers under consumer law apply to the Registration contract concluded with it.

4.3 Where the Quest is operated by another organization, the Publisher may receive a commission deducted from the price paid to the Seller. This commission does not increase the price paid by the Buyer.

4.4 Requests relating to a Registration received by the Publisher are forwarded to the Seller, or the Buyer is invited to contact the Seller directly, except where the Publisher is itself the Seller. The Publisher can be contacted at [email protected].

5. Purpose of the Registration

5.1 The Registration entitles a Team to take part in the Quest under the conditions presented on the Registration Page, and to play using the Ludik Évasion application, which it accesses through the invitation link or QR code provided with the confirmation.

5.2 As stated on the Registration Page, the Registration covers either a set date, time slot or period, or a Quest that the Team may play at a time of its choice during the Quest's opening period or without a set date.

5.3 Participation requires, for at least one Team member, a compatible smartphone on which the Ludik Évasion application is installed, a mobile data connection and, where the Quest uses it, geolocation enabled. The Seller states any other prerequisite on the Registration Page.

6. Price

6.1 The Registration price is shown on the Registration Page in euros, including all taxes. It is the total price owed by the Buyer for the Team; no additional fee is charged to the Buyer by the Platform.

6.2 The price does not include travel costs to the Quest location, Participants' personal expenses or any on-site services not expressly included in the Quest description.

6.3 The applicable price is the price displayed when the order is validated.

7. Order and payment

7.1 To order, the Buyer enters their Team name on the Registration Page, reviews the information relating to the Seller and the Registration, ticks the box accepting the terms of sale, and then selects the "Order with obligation to pay" button. They are redirected to the Stripe payment page, where they check the amount, enter their payment details and validate the order. Before this validation, the Buyer may check their order, correct their details or abandon the payment.

7.2 When the order is validated, the Registration amount is authorized on the Buyer's payment method. The charge is made when the Registration is confirmed. If the Registration cannot be confirmed, the authorization is canceled and no amount is charged.

7.3 Payment is made to the Seller, to its account with Stripe. The full card number is processed by Stripe and is disclosed neither to the Seller nor to the Publisher.

7.4 A payment session that is not completed expires no later than twenty-four (24) hours after its creation. The Buyer may then restart their order from the Registration Page.

8. Conclusion of the contract and confirmation

8.1 The Registration contract is concluded between the Seller and the Buyer when the Buyer validates the payment, subject to confirmation of the Registration.

8.2 The Registration is confirmed when the payment is charged. The Team is then created and the Buyer accesses a confirmation page containing the invitation link and QR code allowing Participants to join the Quest. A confirmation is also sent to the email address entered at payment.

8.3 If the Buyer does not receive the confirmation by email, they contact the Seller using the contact details stated on the Registration Page.

9. Right of withdrawal

9.1 Registration for a Quest bounded by a start date and an end date. In accordance with Article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for contracts for the provision of leisure activities that must be provided on a set date or during a set period. Where the Quest has both a start date and an end date, stated on the Registration Page, the Registration concerns a leisure activity provided during a set period and carries no right of withdrawal. The Registration Page states this before the order. Cancellation is then governed by Articles 10 and 11.

9.2 Other Registrations. Where the Quest does not have both a start date and an end date, in particular where it has only one of these dates or neither, the Consumer has fourteen (14) days from the conclusion of the contract to exercise their right of withdrawal, without giving reasons and without bearing any costs.

9.3 To exercise this right, the Consumer notifies the Seller of their decision to withdraw, before the time limit expires, by an unambiguous statement sent to the contact details stated on the Registration Page or in the confirmation. They may use the model form in the annex, but are not required to.

9.4 The Platform does not collect the Consumer's express request for performance of the Quest to begin before the end of the withdrawal period, nor any waiver of that right. Consequently, a Consumer who exercises their right of withdrawal within the fourteen (14) day period is refunded the full price of the Registration, even if the Team has started or completed the Quest, and no amount proportionate to the service provided can be claimed from them.

9.5 In the event of withdrawal, the Seller refunds the amounts due no later than fourteen (14) days from the day it is informed of the Consumer's decision, using the same payment method as for the initial transaction, unless the Consumer expressly agrees to another method. This refund incurs no fees for the Consumer.

9.6 The right of withdrawal does not benefit a Buyer acting as a professional.

10. Cancellation or modification by the Seller

10.1 Where the Seller cancels the Quest or the relevant session, or is unable to perform it, including for safety reasons, weather conditions or force majeure, it informs the Buyer as soon as possible and refunds the full Registration price no later than fourteen (14) days after the cancellation. The Seller may offer a postponement or a credit, which the Buyer is free to refuse in favor of the refund.

10.2 Where the Seller changes an essential characteristic of the Registration, in particular the date, location or main content of the Quest, the Buyer may accept the change or cancel their Registration and obtain a full refund of its price within the same time limit.

10.3 The refund is made to the payment method used for the Registration, through Stripe. The Seller makes it from the Platform or from its Stripe account.

11. Cancellation by the Buyer and no-show

11.1 Cancellation of a Registration by the Buyer is governed by the Seller's cancellation policy, stated on the Registration Page before payment and repeated in the Registration confirmation.

11.2 Where the Seller's cancellation policy provides for no refund in the situation concerned, the Registration is neither refundable nor exchangeable, without prejudice to the right of withdrawal where it applies, to Article 10 and to any goodwill gesture by the Seller.

11.3 Unless the Seller's cancellation policy provides otherwise, the Team's absence, late arrival or failure to start its game during the planned period gives rise to no refund.

12. Conduct, safety and minors

12.1 Participants comply with the Seller's instructions, the safety rules communicated, the highway code, the rules of the places visited and rules of caution. The Ludik Évasion application does not replace attention to the real environment, particularly when moving around.

12.2 Each Participant ensures that their health and physical condition are compatible with the Quest as described.

12.3 A minor may take part only with the authorization of their legal representative and under the supervision of an adult who is present throughout the Quest and responsible for them, unless the Seller states on the Registration Page that it provides this supervision itself. The Seller may set age requirements.

12.4 The Seller may exclude from the Quest a Participant whose behavior endangers their own safety or that of others or seriously breaches its instructions. Such exclusion gives rise to no refund where it results from a serious breach by that Participant.

13. Liability and warranties

13.1 The Seller is liable by operation of law toward the Consumer for the proper performance of the obligations arising from the Registration contract, whether those obligations are performed by the Seller itself or by other service providers, in accordance with Article L.221-15 of the French Consumer Code. It may be released from all or part of its liability by proving that the non-performance or improper performance is attributable either to the Consumer, to the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party to the contract, or to force majeure.

13.2 Where the Registration includes the supply of digital content or a digital service, the Consumer benefits, where applicable, from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Articles L.224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.

13.3 Each Participant is liable for damage they cause to third parties, other Participants and the places visited. Participants are advised to hold civil liability insurance.

13.4 No provision of these Registration Terms limits the rights the Consumer derives from mandatory legal provisions.

14. Personal data

14.1 The Seller is the controller of the personal data collected for the Registration and the running of the Quest, in particular the Buyer's email address, the Team name and participation data.

14.2 Where the Quest is operated by another organization, the Publisher processes that data on behalf of the Seller, as processor, to provide the Platform. The Publisher also processes, as controller, the data required for the operation and security of the Platform, under the conditions described in the privacy policy published on the Platform.

14.3 Payment data is processed by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policy.

14.4 The Buyer and Participants exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability with the Seller, at the contact details stated on the Registration Page, or with the Publisher at [email protected], which forwards the request to the Seller where it concerns the Seller. They may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).

15. Complaints and consumer mediation

15.1 Any complaint relating to a Registration is sent to the Seller at the contact details stated on the Registration Page or in the confirmation.

15.2 In accordance with Articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Consumer may, after attempting to resolve the dispute directly with the Seller through a written complaint, refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator the Seller falls under, whose contact details are stated on the Registration Page, in the confirmation or in the Seller's terms of sale. The mediation request must be filed within one (1) year of the written complaint sent to the Seller.

16. Intellectual property

The contents of the Quest, in particular its texts, puzzles, images and media, are protected by intellectual property law. The Registration grants Participants a personal, non-commercial right to use those contents, limited to their participation in the Quest. Any reproduction or distribution outside that scope is prohibited without the authorization of their rights holder.

17. Evidence and archiving

17.1 Records kept in the systems of the Platform and of Stripe are proof of orders, acceptances, payments, refunds and confirmations, unless proven otherwise.

17.2 Where the Registration amount is one hundred and twenty (120) euros or more, including all taxes, the Seller keeps the written record of the contract for ten (10) years from its conclusion and guarantees access to it to the Consumer upon request.

18. Language, governing law and jurisdiction

18.1 These Registration Terms are drafted in French. A translation may be made available for information purposes. In the event of any conflict between versions, the French version prevails.

18.2 The Registration contract is governed by French law. Where the Buyer is a Consumer habitually resident in another State, this choice does not deprive them of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of that country.

18.3 In addition to any court having territorial jurisdiction under the French Code of Civil Procedure, the Consumer may bring proceedings, at their choice, before the court of the place where they resided when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred. Where the Buyer acts as a professional, and subject to mandatory rules, in particular those protecting consumers, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts for the Seller's registered office.

Annex - Model withdrawal form

This form may be used only where the right of withdrawal applies under Article 9.2. The Consumer completes and returns it to the Seller only if they wish to withdraw from the contract.
